Mechanism Underlying Prevention of Obesity and Diabetes by Food-Derived Factors such as Plant Pigments

چکیده

植物色素成分等の食品由来因子の肥満・糖尿病の予防作用と新たな分子機構の解明に関する以下の内容を概説する。不安定で健康機能とは無縁と認識されていたアントシアニンが配糖体のままで吸収されること, 代謝物 (分解物) が生体内で生成すること, 体脂肪蓄積抑制作用や耐糖能改善作用とその機構を世界で初めて報告した。高生体内吸収性クルクミン製剤の耐糖能改善作用および褐色脂肪細胞化誘導とその機構等を解明した。プロポリス成分の褐色脂肪細胞化誘導とその機構, クルクミンとの併用による効果増幅, uncoupling protein 1非依存性の経路を介する熱産生機構の関与を初めて明らかにした。さらにアミノ酸混合物摂取と運動併用による相乗的な褐色脂肪細胞化誘導とその機構を解明し, 運動効果を増幅する食品因子という新たな研究の方向性を提示した。以上の成果は食品由来因子の新たな機能研究の推進と発展の基盤となっている。
